    Engine | Driveline | Coolant | Brakes | Air | Suspension | Safety systems 


    You will also be able to carry out a full train preparation through an interactive 360° experience.

  • Course fees

    This entry level course is priced at £149.99.


    Funding may be available from various Government schemes or grants. Service Leavers in their last 2 years can apply to have 80% of the course costs covered (up to £175) with their Standard Learning Credits. 


    Other employers may also offer a similar resettlement funding strategy.

  • Career prospects

    Successful course completion will indicate that you have an aptitude for learning technical specifics of train systems and how they work.

  • Will I have access to support?

  • How will I be assessed?

    Multiple choice end of course assessment

    The percentage required to successfully pass the course is 70%. 


    You can retake the assessment as necessary.


  • How long does the course take?

    Between 8 - 10 hours dependant on level of study.

  • Is there a certificate?

    You will receive a downloadable certificate from the Train Driver Academy.
